Crust by JP: FAQ
Everything you need to know about Crust By JP.
Do you take bookings or is it walk-up only?
For now, we’re a walk-up-only concept—first come, first served. Once we launch our restaurant, we’ll introduce reservations and a full service experience that matches the Crust ethos.
Who’s behind Crust by JP?
Crust is founded by Jack Pellow, a professionally trained chef from Cornwall with roots in both fine dining and sustainability. This project is his personal mission: to elevate pizza into something meaningful, delicious, and radically responsible.
Do you offer private catering or events?
Yes. Crust is available for a limited number of private events, pop-ups, and collaborations. Whether it’s a wedding, brand activation, or something more intimate, we bring the full theatre of Crust to you—horsebox and all. Enquiries are welcome through our website.
Do you offer vegan or plant-based options?
Yes. Plant-based cooking is a key part of our sustainable future, and we treat vegan pizza with the same level of intention as every other dish. Our vegan specials rotate with the seasons and often showcase local vegetables, foraged herbs, and house-made elements. We don’t cut corners—just dairy.
Where do your ingredients come from, and how do you choose them?
At Crust, ingredients aren’t just components—they’re the story. We follow a simple philosophy: source locally, waste nothing, and elevate everything. Over 80% of our produce is grown, foraged, farmed, or caught within Cornwall, carefully selected for integrity and flavour. Every decision is rooted in transparency, which is why our food sourcing map is available for all to see. When you eat at Crust, you’re tasting a snapshot of the land—and the hands—that made it possible.
Why don’t you offer gluten-free pizza?
We take our craft seriously, and that means honesty in what we can execute to perfection. At this time, our focus is on mastering a singular dough—fermented slowly and handled with care. While we deeply respect dietary needs, we won’t offer gluten-free options until we can ensure zero risk of cross-contamination and uncompromised quality.
